Bodyrox ft. Luciana- Yeah Yeah
This makes me want to be a model. In fact I’m pretty sure it’s been used in a Versace show, Spring 2008 I think. But yeah, if I’m walking down a long hallway tomorrow while listening to this…OUT MA WAY.
I was supposed avoid exercise for like a week until my pelvis and neck/back/shoulders healed, but 2 days went by and I started feeling like a caged squirrel so I went to the gym tonight, and now I feel more limber and happy than I’ve felt since before thursday night.
SO I GUESS THIS MEANS I’M RIGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING.
I never want to experience that kind of pain or chaos ever again.
HANDS. DOWN. Favorite Spring 2012 collection. Stunning laser-cut leather, my favorite color palette (white, red, black, metallics), and some very eye-catching prints. The whole collection was a progressive expression of femininity, and I can’t stop looking at it.
^The pattern, the layered ruffles, and the bodice? Perfect. The bodice reminds me of the pattern on that black and white McQueen peacock gown from Fall 2008.
I just found an online fabric distributor of that sells 54” wide silk chiffon for an absurdly inexpensive price, as opposed to the regular 45” wide. And it’s dye-able.
I’m gonna order like 90 yards of it, use some for the gown, and then just wrap myself in the rest and walk outside and have it billow around me and make me look like a beautiful sea-nymph-ghost-thing.
Looking at beautiful fabrics online is better than looking at porn.
Slick, fresh. The digital printings of the nude woman on several pieces is really elegant, and oh my god, the gloves. When gloves are done right, they take an outfit to that level of sophistication that’s a fusion of ‘being seen at the opera’, and ‘being photographed on the street in the Lower East Side’.
You know those little things in the back of your brain that nag you all day long? Like “Oh I have to make this phone call, oh I have to fill out this form, do this essay, etc…”
I took care of all of those today, and had a wonderful trip to the fabric store where I bought the leather I needed to start the gown I want to make, I can’t wait to get into the studio and get going with it!
This is one of my favorite collections from the new season. David Koma made beautiful use of graphics, leather, and color pops, which gave the line a distinctively futuristic look. Despite all the hard edges and use of leather, the collection had a flirtatious element to it.
The use of sharp, repetitive metallic lines was very similar to last season’s Gareth Pugh collection. Regardless, the collection has some very modern details, and the silhouettes had a beautiful masculine quality about them that was still very flattering.

I just don’t want to go. I have errands to run and things to do, so I’ll still be productive today.
